Fried Idli or Masala Idli

An easy tea time snack from leftover idli

Equipment

  • 1 Small Bowl
  • 1 Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 4 - 5 Leftover Idli
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt or as per taste
  • Oil to fry

Instructions

  • Cut each idli into 4 equal parts (or into bite size pieces). 
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add idli pieces and fry each side on medium heat until it turns golden brown in color.
  • Sprinkle required amount of salt and red chili powder over the fried idli and toss everything to coat well. Enjoy with tea or coffee! 😊

You can make your own variations of fried idli by adding different masala mix or tempering.
