An easy 4 ingredient chocolate mousse recipe that you can make under a minute.
Chocolate mousse is one of the easiest desserts to make and everyone enjoys it. If you have the best quality chocolate powder, heavy cream, sugar and a mixer grinder, then you are all set to enjoy a restaurant quality homemade chocolate mousse.
It is an Extra smooth, velvety chocolate mousse recipe that you can enjoy without even tiring yourself by melting the chocolates or beating the cream using a hand mixer, looking for the right consistency.
What to Use:
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: It is important to use the best or fine quality cocoa powder to get the rich flavor. The brand I used in this recipe is Ghirardelli’s unsweetened cocoa powder. Or any bittersweet chocolate can also be used. But remember to melt the chocolate before combining it with the cream. More the cocoa gives less sweet and darker chocolate.
Sugar: Powdered or confectioners sugar will incorporate easily with the cream while whipping. Since we are whipping the cream only for 30 seconds in a mixer grinder, it is good to use powdered sugar.
To make powdered sugar, add granulated sugar in a blender or food processor and grind until it becomes fine and fluffy. I have used 3/4 cup of powdered sugar. If you are someone who prefers less sweet, add 1/2 cup of sugar.
For an extra shot on flavor add a teaspoon of instant coffee powder along with other ingredients.
Make sure the heavy cream is cold or chilled before making the mousse. You can serve the mousse immediately or allow it to set in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Garnish with chocolate shavings, whipped cream or berries and serve chilled.
